Inside the Microwave
Immediately after we leave, someone will heat up spaghetti in the
microwave with no cover. Can't wait until we return to have a clean
microwave? Here is our top secret solution:
Fill a bowl with 2 cups of water and put it in the microwave for 10
minutes on high. This will steam clean the microwave!
Carefully remove the hot water, and the inside of the microwave can be
quickly wiped clean with a paper towel.
Hairspray on the
Mirror
Do you have hairspray on the
mirror that won't come off with window cleaner?
Dab some shampoo on a cloth, and use it
to clean off the hairspray. Then, use your window cleaner to clean
the mirror.
Crayon Marks
Crayon marks on cupboards and counters? Spray a little WD-40 on a clean, dry cotton cloth and wipe away the stain. This works on most hard surfaces, including tables, counters, walls and televisions. Avoid spraying WD-40 directly on the crayon marks.
Shower Curtains
Wash with normal laundry detergent in your washing machine with 1 cup of white vinegar. Hang to dry.
Water Marks
Water marks on furniture? Leave mark alone for several hours and allow water to absorb.
Next, try using a mild abrasive and lubricant, wiping with the grain of the wood.
Also you can try cheesecloth, dampened with hot water and a few drops of
ammonia. Wipe with the grain.
